The Comeback of Adele

Hello. It’s Adele and she was wondering if after all these years you’d like to speak. To go over how she’s back and ready to retake the throne as the queen of pop.

At the age of 19, Adele introduced herself to the world with a bang and made the whole world fall in love with her. A couple of years later, she swept fans off their feet again by releasing 21, the Grammy-award winning album with songs “Rolling in the Deep” and “Someone Like You,” which became the ultimate anthems for broken hearts pining after lost love. Just recently 21 was named best album of all time by Billboard magazine beating out artists like Michael Jackson and Julie Andrews.

For four years, fans wondered where Adele had wandered off to and why she hadn’t released any new music. Along with taking care of her newborn son, no one knew that Adele was trying to come up with new songs, including a popular first single. She succeeded, as the music video for “Hello” received millions of views and became platinum after just three weeks.

With “Hello” Adele is back again with her similar themes and soulful croons of past love and learning to move on. In an interview with The Guardian, she mentioned how “Hello” and many of the other songs on her upcoming album were inspired by an ex-lover, and how writing about the relationship helped her process and get through it.

“It sounds obvious, but I think you only learn to love again when you fall in love again,” Adele said of her ex-boyfriend that left her at a young age. “I’m in that place. My love is deep and true with my man, and that puts me in a position where I can finally reach out a hand to the ex. Let him know I’m over it.”

Not long after the premiere of “Hello”, it was announced that Adele would be having a one night only concert in New York City at Radio City Music Hall on November 17th with her album 25 set to be released a few days after on the 20th.

In her first week of album sales, the English singer surpassed Nsync’s record for single-week album sales in the U.S.

In a recent interview with Elvis Duran, Adele mentioned how she was a little scared that no one would pay attention to her when she came back.

Don’t worry, Adele. We didn’t forget about you at all. I think it’s safe to say that Adele is back and she doesn’t plan on relinquishing the crown anytime soon.
